“We are justifiably proud of our 2012 Camp Walden Staff – we believe that this year’s staff is the strongest group yet. The CITs from 2010, who joined us last summer as our Junior Staff and last summer’s 2011 graduating CITs comprise a large percentage of our 2012 staff. Both of these groups were outstanding in regards to their CIT achievements and we are expecting continued brilliance throughout their staff careers. Our returning 3rd, 4th and 5th year Senior and Head Staff provide the mentoring and guidance for the Junior Team and many of these veteran staff will be asked to take on leadership for special camp-wide programs. This group has continued to consistently provide and demonstrate the higher level counselling skills that they acquired during their junior years on Walden Staff. We are equally proud of the members of our Leadership Team all of whom provide guidance, support, and encouragement to the previous groups mentioned. The Leadership Team is composed of camp professionals whose backgrounds and experiences enable them to deal with the daily complexities of “operating” camp. Camp Walden’s leadership team meets regularly throughout the year to plan and prepare for the summer ahead. The leadership team is assembled in hopes that each team member can bring a unique perspective and expertise to our group. Together, our team makes every effort to ensure that campers, families, and staff are afforded the best possible Camp Walden experience! It’s a big job to keep the Walden community happy, content, creative and allowing for lots of fun! Our Leadership Team is up to this challenge and we cannot emphasize how fortunate we feel in having these Walden personalities return summer after summer.”
